It is nice to see that the daughters of Barack and Michelle Obama are growing up superbly, and the two are proud of their accomplishments.
They have been active on social media recently too — at least Michelle — and supporters have seen some new pictures of the happy family together.
Malia and Sasha are already moving into adulthood — in fact, Malia is 20 at this point — and they were spotted on a beautiful and calm boat ride in Venice.
Michelle did not point out when the shot was taken exactly, although it does not seem like it was a very recent one.
She took the opportunity to reminisce about her times with her mother when she was growing up, and she expressed her gratitude for being given the ability to grow up in a free environment and pursue her own interests as much as she could.
She also pointed out how her parents occasionally managed to put together enough money to send her on a trip, even though they were not very rich to begin with.
Entirely, on the contrary, the family was struggling to make ends meet at some points, but the parents of Michelle were not going to let that get in the way of raising a great daughter.
It looks like the Obamas have been enjoying their life as a family after Barack Obama’s presidency ended.

The former first lady wrote: “With #MothersDay just a couple days away, I find myself thinking a lot about the way my mother raised me. And even though our family was crammed into a tiny apartment, one of the greatest gifts she gave me was the freedom to explore and develop into my own person.”
She continued with: “For instance, even though we didn’t have much money, she and my dad cobbled enough money together to send me on a high-school trip to Paris, which opened up the world to me in so many ways. And now that I’m raising kids of my own, I wanted to pass that lesson on to my own girls.”

Now that they have more freedom — both in terms of time as well as movement — they have been taking the opportunity to get closer to each other and spend more time together.
