Back in the fall of 2014, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian got served with a lawsuit from their former maid. The maid, Gloria Cevallos, claimed that she was being bullied and insulted by two other women on LeAnn and Eddie’s staff, and that Eddie’s mother encouraged LeAnn and Eddie to fire her, Gloria. Gloria wanted back pay and a “front pay,” meaning she wanted them to pay her salary until she found another job. LeAnn got on her high horse and threw a hissy fit to and about TMZ’s reporting on the lawsuit, and LeAnn claimed that Gloria was all about the “shameless money grab,” something LeAnn would know about from Eddie, amirite? My recommendation (not that they asked me) was to simply give Gloria a one-time-only settlement and shuffle her on her way. After all, God knows what kinds of secrets Gloria has kept all this time. And now it sounds like that’s just what they did!
Eddie Cibrian & LeAnn Rimes’ former maid who took out the trash and claimed she was trash-talked in their home has settled her beef with them. Gloria Cevallos dismissed her lawsuit against the couple, which she filed 2 years ago after getting the ax.
Gloria claimed Eddie and LeAnn allowed their other employees to terrorize her, calling her old and fat. The maid’s lawyer, Joseph Farzam, wouldn’t tell us the terms of the confidential settlement, but these things generally go away with the help of a little moolah.
Fact is … famous people don’t like lawsuits, because dirty laundry almost never smells good.
Well, the fact that this took about fifteen months to work out means that there was no real sense of urgency on either part, although I’m sure Gloria issued some threats and I’m sure LeAnn cried into her pile of skimpy bikinis. My guess is that the settlement went no higher than very low six figures, maybe even less than that. Plus a confidentiality agreement, because LeAnn does love her NDAs.
Last thing: you know how Brandi Glanville showed the receipts last Thursday and allowed a blog to publish a copy of the email that Brandi sent Eddie about the holiday photos of their kids on LeAnn’s social media? Well, after Brandi’s email got wide play, this is what LeAnn tweeted:
