It’s been a long wait for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice and the rest of his family. After three years in a federal prison and six months in an ICE detention center, his wife Teresa thought they would get some kind of closure at his court hearing on September 11th, but everyone is still waiting for the judge’s decision on his bond request.

Joe appeared via video from the Clinton County Correctional Facility at his court hearing on Wednesday, as he reportedly begged the judge to grant him a release on bond so he can wait at home in New Jersey for a deportation decision from the appeals court instead of in the deplorable conditions at the ICE detention center.

However, instead of issuing a decision on the bond right away, the judge said he would have a written decision in a few days. If the judge grants the bond request, ICE officials will release him from their custody. If he denies the request, Joe must remain locked up. But, numerous reports claim that if the judge denies the bond request, Joe has asked that they immediately deport him to his native Italy so he can move on with his life.

Melissa Gorga told Us Weekly at their Most Stylish New Yorkers party – which took place the same day as Joe’s court hearing – that everyone is starting to feel a little better because they are going to get some answers soon.

“We’re all looking for closure at this point. It needs to end and go one way or the other at this point. For him too. I mean that man has been suffering long enough now,” said Gorga.

She added that seeing her nieces Gia, 18, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 9, live without their dad is the “hardest part” of this entire situation because they are “daddy’s girls.”

Gorga says the waiting has also been tough on Teresa, but they have to wait a little longer to see what the judge comes back with. She says it’s frustrating for Teresa and she’s really hurting for her daughters.

Teresa’s sister-in-law said that it has been disconcerting when Teresa does what she needs to do to sustain her livelihood, but then people call her out and “put her on blast for having a good time.”

As for Teresa’s admission at the RHONJ reunion that she would divorce Joe if he is deported, Jennifer Aydin says that Joe and Teresa need to do what’s best for them. If they stay together, says Aydin, then what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. If they part ways, then she wishes them the best of luck.
