Hallmark Channel news has some great information to pass on about a new Hallmark Miracles of Christmas original movie airing this weekend that you won’t want to miss. It’s called “Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday” and stars Jen Lilley, whom you may remember as Teresa Donovan on Days of Our Lives. The movie will premiere on Sunday, December 15th at 9pm Eastern on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel and fans of Jen’s will definitely want to tune in.
The movie also stars Carlo Marks in the lead male role, whom you might remember from the Hallmark Channel series Chesapeake Shores, as well as the series Smallville, Pretty Little Liars, and SGU Stargate Universe. Eric Close also appears in the movie, whom you may remember from the series Nashville and Without A Trace.
“Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday” is about a young woman named Hannah (played by Jen Lilley) who ends up having to work with her former rival and childhood friend Ryan (played by Carlo Marks). As they work together to help a potential writer find her way, an angel named Anthony (played by Eric Close) reminds them about Christmas spirit and the value of community.
In the behind-the-scenes feature for the movie, Jen Lilley spoke a bit more about her character. “I play Hannah Pressman,” she said. “She is a junior book editor who loves romantic fiction but she’s not sure that the heroes in said books actually exist. Enter Ryan McDonald, played by Carlo Marks – he is her childhood friend/competitor. He is such a good guy. It’s just that Hannah has a lot of misconceptions about him.”
“It’s been a lot of fun playing Ryan,” Carlo Marks said about his character. “He’s got a little attitude but it’s very apparent that there’s a big heart underneath that attitude.” And about the movie itself, he said, “I think viewers will be swept away by this movie because of the chemistry with the actors. It’s a joy to work with them and I think it’s going to translate on the screen.”
Jen then added, “It has every single thing about Christmas, it’s just packed down into 90 minutes of charm.” It certainly sounds like a great holiday story that is perfect for the season.
As an added bonus, viewers can live tweet with Jen Lilley during the movie’s premiere on Sunday, December 15th at 9pm Eastern. Jen will be tweeting (she’s @jen_lilley) and will be using #angelfalls as the hashtag for the live tweeting event. It’s your chance to comment on the movie along with Jen, so don’t miss it!
