Charles Matthew Hunnam was born on April 10, 1980, in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. His father was William “Billy” Hunnam, a scrap dealer and criminal. His mother is Jane Bell, a business owner and former ballet dancer. He has an older brother named William Hunnam. His father abandoned the family when Charlie was just two years old. His mother remarried when he was 12 and had two more sons, named Christian and Oliver.
